You are right on. And I will add to - I don't feel comfortable, I don't feel safe, said whenever someone says something that suprises you but there is no danger in sight.

Wonderful to read on January 1st. While just a few paragraphs, the depth of it speaks volumes as a guide for living. Soooooo much better than Resolutions.

You provided some valuable life lessons. I know I will be happier when I increase saying: I don't know, I am wrong, and tell me more. Not sure about the phrase, "That makes me uncomfortable." Maybe it depends on HOW uncomfortable. It is my job to be honest about my needs. It is also important to establish boundaries. And, I need to remember that these words about my discomfort will shut communication down. I'll think about this one because I want to continue learning.

This was so inspiring and enlightening for higher emotional intelligence. I want to read it again and again and share with my daughters. Thank you so much✨💫✨

Excellent throughout. Re #1: in a performance review many years ago, a perceptive supervisor said “may seem defensive, but it’s because he hates to feel he fell short.” This was an insight that helped me listen better (at least sometimes).

Well said as always Dr. B - I'm actually pretty good at the phrases to use more of in 2024. And I never use "this makes me uncomfortable."
