I think there is another use of the word ‘sorry’ that is not acknowledged or misunderstood... it is often used not as an apology but as empathy for a given situation- a way to show understanding.

Might anyone want to share what to do with young people not able to accept an apology and forgive. I have a friends child not capable and now not speaking to the parent. Forgiveness is a life lesson.
