This is another (extremely useful) variation on the old Twelve Step adage “feelings aren’t facts.” Realizing your feelings don’t have to control you is enormously freeing in my experience, and a cornerstone of maturity.

Focus on it. Straighten it. Wiggle it.
Now ask: how does it feel?"
me:"Take a moment and think about your penis tip["corona"].
Straighten it. Focus on it. Wiggling in and out of a vagina....
Now ask: is the purpose of its evolutionary origins... to pump my ejaculate in or is its purpose to pump the last male's ejaculate out? Is this a MASSIVE SOURCE OF THE JOY OF SABATOGE ?"
me:"Take a moment and think about THE JOY OF SABATOGE of MAGA... aka "OWN THE LIBS"... what's the evolutionary origins of all that JOY OF SABATOGE of MAGA... ?🫣🤯🤔🕵️
So very true … so many psychosomatic conditions aggravate because clients / patients gets so fixated on their bodily feelings of pain and considering it to be some form of catastrophe and in the process increasing it and spreading it every moment. Thank you for sharing this insight.
I was born in 1958 at 26 weeks, with what was then a 10% survival chance. I became totally blind by my first birthday. I have always had extreme anxiety and fear of many specific things and of life generally, once to the point of almost complete dissociation. My research has shown that brain structures are changed due to prematurity and functions are therefore altered also. It is my wish that psychology and other medical and mental health professions would increase study of people with disabilities and include us in academic and clinical publications and practice regimens.

Excellent vital advice. Too often we are paralyzed by contemplation.
Get over yourself and get on with life.
